His 3.0 GPA shows how he gave importance to studies also. Which is why he promotes literacy; he believes that children should know they can pursue anything with the proper guidance and encouragement.

LeBron James makes his community a part of his success, and he shares a responsibility for their well-being. With this thought, he built a school, “I Promise School” in 2018, in his hometown, Akron, Ohio.

It’s a public school specially to uplift potential students. The school was introduced under the partnership of the LeBron James Family Foundation and Akron Public Schools. 

The idea came in 2011 when LeBron researched through his foundation about the high dropout rate of high schools in Akron.

Along with proper education, schools offer complete support, like free meals and bikes. It works for a simple motive: “Nothing is Given, Everything is Earned.

LeBron works to uplift youth and community and show them that everything is possible with hard work and self-belief.
